The Beauty of Pati, Central Java

 I was born in Pati, Central Java. Exacly, location of Pati is between Kudus and Rembang. In Central Java, it is on the North Beac of Java island. The trip to Pati we can use ameans of transportation such as buses, a motorcycle and the other ones. It takes about 3 hours by land transport from Semarang to Pati. By taking a bus, we need about Rp. 15.000.

Pati has a beautiful natural landscape. In the north, there is a Mount Muria. In the southern, there is Kendeng Mounanous. In the Northeast, there is a Juwana beach. There is also a river, old dam (namely Gunung Rowo), a rice field, a vast rice field, and garden.

Pati hase also a traditional food, for example nasi gandul, soto kemiri, and also famous for ikan bandeng. The typical fruit from Pati is kopyor coconut and nuts. Nasi Gandul typical from Pati is very famous. We can find nasi gandul in Semarang. The main ingredient of this food is rice, buffalo meat and coconut. Moreover, Pati hase also different types of agate. It’s name is Jalasutera.

There are also many recreation area, for example: Caves of Pancur in Kayen, waterfalls of Tadah Hujan in Sukolilo, Gate Majapahit, and Dam in near Moriah. These places are very beautiful and still clean. And, we just need to take care of them.

The name of “Pati” has existed since Majapahit Kingdom. In the past, there were three small kingdoms, there are Kadipaten Carang Soka and Parang Garuda and Mojo Semi. They were conquered/defeated by Kembangjoyo. He then built/set up a new kingdom in the forest/jungle of Kemiri. The new kingdom was called "Pati Pesantenan".

At the era of the Islamic Mataram kingdom, Pati was a large territory. It was led by Ki Gede Panjawi. In the Dutch colonial era, Pati became residence. And, now Pati becomes municipality (kabupaten).

This is the uniqueness of Indonesia. Every part of the area has a great history. and I wish Indonesia be come a great nation.
